Partner, Private Client / Edinburgh / Salary £70,000 - £100,000+

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented senior lawyer and private client specialist to join a thriving law firm in Edinburgh and lead its private client offering.

The role would suit a lawyer from Senior Associate-level upwards seeking to progress their career and a track record in handling a wide range of private client matters.

The successful candidate will eventually inherit and become head of the private client department and as such, will receive private client referral work from across the firms existing client base, including some exceptionally high net worth individuals and families as well as be responsible for the strategic growth of the department.

Suitable candidates should have/be:

• at Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner level;
• ideally a background in the full spectrum of private client work, including Wills and PoA, Trusts, Executries and tax planning;
• preferably STEP accredited, however those without will be supported in its attainment;
• excellent leadership skills and a track record in delegating work as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff;
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• a professional approach and relationship builder.
