advising lay Panel members of the relevant law and procedure, particularly in relation to appeal hearings managing the Panel’s workload and arranging hearings framing and issuing the decisions made by the committees and generally providing secretarial support to the Panel and its members.
You will be responsible, along with the Panel Chairperson and Deputes, for the provision of appropriate training to Panel members and will report to the Sheriff Principal on Panel matters as necessary.
Applicants should be legally qualified. The time involved in carrying out the secretarial work is currently approximately 15 to 20 hours per week.
