This public-sector organisation is looking to recruit an in-house solicitor on an interim basis to be based in the Glasgow office, initially working from home.

Job Description

This public-sector organisation is looking to recruit an in-house solicitor on an interim basis to be based in the Glasgow office, initially working from home.  The post is to provide maternity leave cover for 12 months. In this position you will be employed through FWA as an agency worker.

This role will involve working within a high profile public sector team.  The role and work will be varied to include providing legal support on Bills, secondary legislation and policy development, as well as an extensive range of advisory legal services required to support the development and delivery of major transport projects and the smooth running of Scotland’s national  transport networks. Those advisory services include support for administrative decision making, contract and commercial work, litigation support (not appearance work) and land & property advice (not conveyancing).

Candidates are not expected to have experience in this particular field and so candidates with experience of any area of law will be considered.  Candidates will, however, be expected to work willingly in a team environment, work to tight deadline and have a genuine interest in public law work.

If this position interests you, please do not hesitate to contact either Cameron or Teddie for an initial and confidential discussion.  (Assignment 12577)
