Job Description

This fast-growing personal injury law firm are looking to add to their team.

As their business continues to grow, so does their need for ambitious, driven, and dynamic individuals who are looking to grow with them. With that said they have an exciting opportunity for a NQ Solicitor in their ELPL team in their Glasgow office.

The main objective of the role is to profitably manage a caseload of personal injury claims acting at all times in the best interest of the client.

Responsibilities:-

  • To manage a suitable workload of files (which will depend on seniority, complexity and value) to a high standard and in compliance with company practice and SLAs;
  • To ensure files are managed in the best interests of clients at all times;
  • To report to Head of Department any circumstances that prevent this or create a potential conflict or, importantly, any complaints received immediately;
  • To ensure files are kept up to date, accurate and in date order in accordance with company practice;
  • To ensure Case Management System is used properly and effectively in accordance with agreed company practice;
  • To review all files in accordance with company practice and identify and report on any issues flagged up or whether a case has progressed and is then falling outside of Case Manager’s expertise to the Head of Department; and
  • To monitor and manage own compliance with targets and Key Performance Indicators in respect of conversions, income and file closure rates.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and understanding of personal injury claims in either insurer or solicitor environment and experience working in an EL/PL setting. they will have an in-depth knowledge of personal injury liability and quantum issues and willingness to keep up to date with legal developments.

They will possess excellent communication skills (written and telephone), computer and keyboard skills, be self-motivated, with the ability to concentrate in an open office environment. They will have the ability to work well with others and prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and targets.
