Litigation Paralegal, Glasgow or Edinburgh

Job Description

This firm is currently recruiting a Paralegal to join its Litigation, Insurance and Risk Team.

You will be involved, primarily, in pursuing recovery of subrogated losses on behalf of insurance companies and uninsured losses for corporate clients arising from motor and property damage claims.

Your key duties will include:

• Pre-litigation assessment of subrogated recovery claims.
• Managing your own caseload of subrogated recovery claims using a case management system.
• Assisting solicitors in the team as required.
• Ensuring regular contact with clients and third parties by telephone, email and general correspondence.
• Dealing with claims, assessing quantum and negotiating settlement.
• Drafting Simple Procedure claims and handling all procedural aspects other than hearings.
