Job Description

Aspire and Utopian Professional Recruitment are working in conjunction to source a Legal Secretary to join our highly regarded client based in Glasgow.

This is a varied role where you will provide full secretarial and administrative support whilst working in a proactive and efficient manner. The wider team work on a range of residential and commercial property projects and are looking for someone who would truly love to be part of this highly successful firm. This role will be predominantly supporting the firms Associate and Director.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Formatting complex legal documents
  • Drafting and finalising client invoices
  • Drafting general documents and correspondence
  • Opening of new clients and matters including carrying out AML checks
  • Liaising with fee earners and cash room department to make transfers and payments to clients
  • Audio and copy typing
  • Raising purchase orders and arranging payments of invoices
  • Diary management for fee earners / partners
  • Organise meetings, conference calls, booking travel and accommodation
  • General administrative tasks

To be considered for this opportunity, our client does require the following background / experience:

  • Previous background ideally working within Residential and/or Commercial Property department
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt well and changing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Naturally positive and enthusiastic with a proactive approach
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong IT capability including MS Office – Excel and Outlook
