Kyowa Kirin are seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel within our Head Office in Galashiels, Scottish Borders.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative pharmaceutical company during an exceptional period of growth and development. This role will provide legal support to operational and commercial functions throughout the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate and review a broad range of agreements;
  • Provide legal support to change control and SOP review processes;
  • Provide legal support for clinical activities;
  • Support senior lawyers with complex agreements and transactions;
  • Creating and maintaining template documents to assist the legal team and other business functions;
  • Act as a business partner to improve service delivery to key internal stakeholders.

Position Requirements:

To be successful in this position you will require the following:

  • Must be a UK-qualified solicitor or barrister;
  • Post-qualification experience in contract law;
  • A willingness to build on legal skills and knowledge through on-going professional development;
  • Sound communication skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing business priorities

You will be based at our Head Office in Galashiels, commutable from Edinburgh in less than an hour.
