Job Description

This well respected firm are currently recruiting a Junior Solicitor to join its Personal Injury team.  The ideal candidate should have between 1 -2 years’ pqe and will be responsible for managing their own caseload of personal injury actions and claims within an appropriate supervision process.  Some of your duties will include:

  • Dealing with own caseload of personal injury and recoveries files most of which are court actions using our case management system;
  • Investigating and assessing the merits of a case and making the decision whether to proceed to litigation;
  • Quantifying claims with reference to medical and other evidence;
  • Corresponding and negotiating with Third Party Insurers and their Solicitors
  • Dealing with a mixed caseload of road traffic, occupier liability, employer and public liability cases as well as industrial disease and medical negligence work.
  • Regular contact with clients by telephone, email and general correspondence
  • Corresponding with insurers, GP’s, hospitals etc in relation to claims
  • Pleading and Advocacy in the Sheriff Court
