This busy personal injury team are currently recruiting a Solicitor at the NQ – 2 years’ pqe level. You will deal with a range of personal injury claims on behalf of insurance companies, primarily in respect of motor, public liability and employer liability claims. Your duties will include:
Acting upon instructions, to prepare and investigate the facts surrounding the claim including Interviewing witnesses, prepare statements and instruct/liaise with expert witnesses.
To obtain instructions and to follow through to research resolution.
To prepare reports for clients, ensuring that all relevant information is gathered and appropriately collated in case management systems.
To draft letters, court documents and other written submissions.
To comply with in house billing and financial requirements, specifically the rendering and recovery of fees.
To accurately record all hours worked, meeting financial and hours targets.
To provide management information including statistics on settlement rates and average claim spend.
To appear in Court and to comply with Court procedures, document productions etc.
To correspond with clients and other solicitors and liaise with Counsel and experts where appropriate.
