Interim Litigation Solicitor, public sector – Edinburgh

Job Description

his is a unique, temporary role for a Litigation Solicitor, for an interim period of 6 months with this public sector organisation based in Edinburgh.  This post provides a diverse range of litigation work including legal issues relating to 1st tier tribunal, supreme court and court of session, Human Rights, the devolution settlement, equality and how those sit within both devolved and reserved areas of law.

The organisation is open to PQE level of candidates, but it is essential for candidates to have civil litigation experience. It would also be beneficial if you had experience or a keen interest to gain new skills in the following:

• Experience of civil litigation work or a willingness to develop the skills required.
• Ability to manage information and interpret data to enable you to make sound decisions and provide clear and high-quality legal advice.
• Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and to communicate complex issues effectively.
• Ability to organise your own workload in a flexible way to manage risk and respond to competing priorities.
