Inhouse Claims Solicitor – Glasgow - Exclusive role
We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading global insurance underwriting organisation which is looking for a Solicitor to join its team in Glasgow.
This is a new and exciting opportunity for an Insurance Solicitor (2 years PQE+) to join a newly formed team and to build on the next stage of their career.
Remit:
- Oversee the receipt of new claims and ensure that agreed processes are being followed
- Liaise with panel law firms to ensure SLA and costs are being met
- Provide legal and technical advice to clients and underwriters on claims procedures
- Ensure compliance protocols are adhered to and met
- Provide advice on insurance contracts
- Liaise with corporate and compliance departments
- Identify emerging claim trends and new business opportunities
Person specification:
- Qualified Solicitor with minimum 2 years PQE
- Knowledge of litigation claims – property litigation experience is desired
- Understanding of insurance contracts
- Experience of working within a fast paced claims environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- The ability to review and analyse complex legal documents
