We are currently working on this exciting in-house opportunity for a Legal Counsel.

Job Description

We are currently working on this exciting in-house opportunity for a Legal Counsel.  The role sits within the Enabling Functions team and is based just outside of Glasgow.  Hybrid working is of offer, and you will be needed in the office 3 days per week.

The role will involve providing proactive legal service to support the organisation by providing professional guidance, pragmatic advice and practical support on legal and compliance issues.  You will be responsible for:

  • Responsibility at all stages of the lifecycle of our construction projects including reviewing and negotiating upstream and downstream construction contracts and associated JV Agreements, PCGs, warranties and bonds etc., advising on contract administration queries including extensions of time and loss and expense claims and advising in relation to all forms of dispute management and resolution
  • Acts autonomously in analysing and solving problems within established working procedures

To be considered for this role you should be at the NQ – 7 years’ pqe level and have construction/infrastructure experience.  Our client will consider a 2022 qualifier with relevant experience in this area and who would be qualifying in the next couple of  months.  Candidates with contentious and non-contentious experience would be considered.
