Our client, a leading Scottish law firm, is seeking a litigator to join its Healthcare and Regulatory Team.

Job Description

The team handles a diverse and challenging caseload, ranging from birth injuries to fatal cases, making its work some of the most interesting in Scotland.

This role is ideal for a highly experienced litigator with a background in handling complex medical negligence and personal injury cases, as well as possessing strong advocacy skills. You will engage in oral advocacy, representing clients at tribunal, panel, and committee hearings related to professional regulation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Understand the team's specialist practice areas and relevant court procedures.
Provide exceptional client service and develop client relationships.
Meet fee earning/chargeable hours targets and maintain financial and commercial awareness.
Identify business development and cross-selling opportunities.
Build technical skills, maintain expert recognition, and develop managerial/business skills.
Effectively manage, supervise, and develop team members.

Interested candidates should have at least 8 years’ PQE with expertise in medical negligence/personal injury and an interest in healthcare-related professional regulation. The location for this role is flexible.
