This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support this work and ensure that the Society’s strategic objectives are effectively delivered.
An opportunity has arisen for two in house Fiscals to join our Complaints Investigation Team. The successful candidates will be responsible for prosecuting Scottish solicitors before the Scottish Solicitors Discipline Tribunal, advising and representing the Society in unsatisfactory professional conduct appeals and providing legal advice and opinion.
In this Edinburgh-based post, the candidates should be qualified Scottish solicitors and have experience in either civil or criminal litigation.
A good working knowledge of court procedure and of the law of evidence is essential. To successfully deliver this role, key skills include the ability to handle a high volume workload, working to strict deadlines, having excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
