Opportunities for Scots-lawyers to relocate internationally are rare. Even rarer is the opportunity to relocate and enjoy London quality work and remuneration, but an incredible work-life balance, where you will leave the office everyday by 6pm at the latest.
My client is looking for a Solicitor admitted (or due to be admitted this Summer) in Scotland from NQ – 5 PQE to join their team – the only specialist, and leading, Fin Reg team in the region.
For NQs – my client is keen to hear from lawyers who have completed a seat in Financial Regulation (or a complementary area such as Pensions) during their Training Contract and who are passionate about developing a practice in financial regulation.
For more experienced Fin Reg lawyers – my client is keen to hear from you irrespective of how varied or niche your current Fin Reg practice is – whether you specialise in consumer finance regulation or funds regulation.
**My client is keen to hear from both Private Practice and In-house lawyers**
**This role will not involve any funds regulation – that is handled by a separate team**
Working with colleagues across the world, this role will be predominantly advisory in nature – advising the world’s leading financial institutions - however there will be plentiful opportunity to work alongside my client’s contentious Financial Services Regulatory team and gain exposure to sanctions and other contentious matters (if this is something you are keen to do).
50% of your workstream will originate from London, working alongside Silver and Magic Circle Firms.
This is an incredibly rare opportunity to join a leading, specialist Fin Reg team in a stunning location, enjoying City quality work and salaries but with an impeccable work – life balance.
The team is friendly and collegiate – the Partner you will be working for started at the Firm as a Trainee and above all is very down-to-earth and friendly (I have met them personally).
This Firm’s culture is best-in-class: they rarely lose Associates and nearly all their Partners are homegrown. Partnership is a realistic option for every Associate who joins the Firm (if they want it) and this team will provide you with every opportunity to develop into a first-class financial regulatory lawyer.
This is truly a once-in-every-five years opportunity, so if this role sounds of interest, please contact Dominic Roberts in confidence at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07857 439 641
