The role available will predominantly involve managing a large caseload of family matters, including actions for separation, divorce, parent-child residence and contact, adoption, and children’s hearings panel work. Previous experience in family law is required and essential.
There will also be opportunities to diversify and obtain experience in other areas of law, including other civil matters, mental health and incapacity work, and/or criminal defence also available. Although the preferred ideal candidate will bring a vast range of qualities expertise able to cater to a wide-range of client needs, previous working experience in all or any of these areas is not essential.
Working in a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate will be hardworking, motivated, passionate, flexible, and able to demonstrate initiative in working both independently and collaboratively as part of our experienced and legally qualified team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing their own clients and cases, an impressive past record of achievement in terms of attaining good results for their clients and will be able to delegate appropriately with minimal supervisory restrictions. Candidates should hold, or be able to readily obtain, a full unrestricted Practising Certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland.
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
