We are currently working on a role with this large law firm in Scotland. It is recruiting a Senior Solicitor at 3+ years PQE level to join its Insurance Team.

Job Description

We are currently working on a role with this large law firm in Scotland. It is recruiting a Senior Solicitor at 3+ years PQE level to join its Insurance Team.    You will be involved, primarily, in pursuing recovery of subrogated losses on behalf of insurance companies and uninsured losses for corporate clients arising from motor (including credit hire) and property damage claims.

You will have a varied and interesting workload, which will include:

  • Managing your own caseload of recovery claims using a case management system.
  • Handling all aspects of the litigation process including drafting and appearance.
  • Assessing liability and quantum prospects.
  • Negotiating settlement of claims.
  • Advising, supporting and providing training to clients.
  • Supervising and providing training to junior colleagues.

The ideal candidate should have strong litigation and risk experience, experience of subrogated recoveries would be beneficial.
