Our client, a national consultancy organisation, is looking to add to their busy in-house team during a team member’s leave to cover a 12 month FTC.

Job Description

Our client, a national consultancy organisation, is looking to add to their busy in-house team during a team member’s leave to cover a 12 month FTC.  Based in either their Glasgow or Edinburgh office, the ideal candidate will be qualified in Scotland or England with 1 – 6 years’ pqe and will have experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.  Experience in financial services or pensions or with a professional services firm would be an advantage, as would experience with financial advisers/platforms/asset managers, in the retail financial market.

The role will involve drafting and negotiating contracts for various business areas, you will act as an internal consultant and will have extensive dealings directly with the consultants in the firm.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of key area’s propositions, core business and associated risks and work with that area to shape solutions that meet requirements. Business areas include Actuarial, Defined Contribution Consulting, Investment and Third-Party Administration, alongside our newer areas for Financial Services and Individual Wealth.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts for a range of professional services, consulting, online and data services including tender responses, master services agreements, client contracts, licences, data protection agreements, non-reliance letters, NDAs and supplier agreements.
  • Draft best practice notes on topical issues for use across the firm, develop and maintain processes, policies, guidance and templates and assist in training.
