Job Description

Stand out from the crowd…

With an ever-growing demand for specialist and pragmatic public procurement (and State aid) advice from our clients, this larger commercial firm is looking to continue to grow the team and need an enthusiastic lawyer.

Our client has the largest and longest-established, dedicated team of public procurement lawyers operating in the UK.  It operates across all three UK legal jurisdictions, has been ranked in the highest tiers nationally in Chambers & Partners for public procurement since that category was introduced in 2008 and is described as “one of the most successful and comprehensive public procurement practices in the market ".

This is a busy, friendly and dynamic team in which every team member can make his or her own mark.

You will be someone who enjoys taking responsibility for running some of your own client matters and, have the confidence and personal skills to deal directly with external and internal clients, develop client initiatives and grow internal client relationships across the firm.

Key characteristics of the procurement lawyer which are client is looking for are:

  • Technically excellent and with previous procurement and State aid experience would be ideal
  • Experience of ideally at least 2 years’ + PQE, however more junior or senior candidates will also be considered.
  • Ideally from private practice (City firm or leading private practice firm) or have spent at least two years in private practice
  • Enthusiastic and a team player
