Location: Lanarkshire with home and flexible working, some travel throughout Scotland

The role will involve providing legal support to a variety of third sector organisations who are funded by the Scottish Government and UK Home Office to support EU Citizens with settlement applications, and will involve some legal casework, including training and development of OISC accredited immigration support workers across Scotland. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience navigating a complex area of law during a time of significant change.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have a meticulous approach to analysing complex legal issues. A passion for human rights or public law is essential, as well as a keen interest in gaining experience in a complex and politicised area of law that is subject to frequent amendment at short notice. They will have an understanding of the importance of excellent client care, and have good awareness of how rights and advice issues impact on local communities. They will be an excellent team player with a commitment to equality and diversity. Knowledge of the voluntary sector and successful delivery of projects will be advantageous. The role would suit candidates with PQE 0-3 years within human rights or public law, or an NQ solicitor with relevant traineeship immigration experience.
