Energy and Infrastructure - Senior Solicitor/Associate (2 – 4 years PQE) – Edinburgh or Glasgow

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Solicitor/ Associate role in this firm’s market-leading Energy and Infrastructure team has arisen. The Energy and Infrastructure team undertakes the firm’s work in infrastructure, construction, energy and utilities advice and regulation. The group advises clients in the public sector, developers, funders, and secondary market purchasers. In energy, the group works in renewables, upstream oil & gas and heat. In infrastructure, they work in a variety of sectors including water, waste, transport, regeneration, education, and health. In construction, the group advises on real estate development and investment, as well as engineering and infrastructure projects.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and be exposed to a variety of transactions.

E&I transactions vary and work assignments will depend upon the specific instructions we have at any one time.

For example: -

  • Advising funders and developers on financing and implementing renewable energy projects in the wind, hydro and bio energy sectors
  • Advising buyers and sellers on the sale and purchase of renewables projects
  • Advising funders and operators on procuring and implementing revenue financed and capital projects in water, waste, transport, education, health and regeneration sectors
  • Advising public sector clients, funders and developers on heat and other energy projects
  • Advising on regulatory matters
