Are you an ambitious and talented Aberdeen based Employment Solicitor with 2 to 5 years of post-qualified experience? Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client, a leading international law firm in Aberdeen, as an Employment Associate.

Role Description:

As an Employment Solicitor in this team, you will work on a wide range of employment law matters, handling a diverse caseload, including advising both employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment issues. You will work closely with senior members of the team, gaining valuable insights and mentorship while developing your skills and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality legal advice to clients on various employment law matters, including contracts, policies, procedures, dismissals, discrimination, and redundancy.
  • Assisting with employment tribunal claims, including preparing documentation, conducting research, and providing representation when required.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, and other employment-related documentation.
  • Conducting legal research and keeping up-to-date with changes in employment law to ensure accurate and effective advice is provided to clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent communication and exceptional client service.
  • Assisting with business development activities, including attending networking events, client meetings, and delivering presentations to promote the firm's employment services.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in Scotland with 2 to 5 years of post-qualified experience in employment law.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of UK employment law, regulations, and procedures.
  • Experience handling a variety of employment law matters, including advising on both contentious and non-contentious issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions to complex legal issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide commercially-focused advice to clients.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
