Job Description

A well-established Scottish firm is looking to appoint a solicitor to join its Dispute Resolution team in Edinburgh. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied and engaging caseload spanning commercial, property and private client-related disputes.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of court work, including appearances in the Sheriff Court and involvement in higher-court actions. You’ll have regular client contact, work closely with colleagues across the firm, and contribute to the team’s ongoing development.

In This Role, You Will:

• Manage a mixed caseload of commercial, property and estate-related disputes
• Handle court appearances and support senior colleagues on more complex matters
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide clear, practical advice
• Support junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing
• Participate in wider team initiatives and business development activity

• A qualified solicitor with experience in litigation or dispute resolution
• Strong communication skills and a confident approach to client work
• The ability to manage competing deadlines and work collaboratively
• An interest in developing both technical and court-based skills
