Are you a corporate solicitor looking to make the leap to associate level and it is proving difficult with your current firm for any reason?
If so, my client, one of the world's leading legal practices has a requirement for a corporate solicitor with at least two years PQE to enhance their Edinburgh team as part of it's strategic global growth plans for 2015.
You will take on the full remit of corporate/commercial work including acquisitions and disposals, private equity and venture capital, joint ventures and group reorganisations within a team that is renowned throughout the country for their expertise in these matters.
This role would be ideal for the corporate solicitor who was kept on by their current firm post-traineeship and perhaps feels like you will only ever be seen as the trainee in your current team. Perhaps the team is just too top heavy for an associate position to be considered for you at this point?
Whilst many firms can boast an international client base, there are none in Scotland that can claim quite the level that my client can. You will work for national and international start-ups, owner-managed businesses, major corporates, private equity houses and some of the worlds most recognised financial institutions.
You should really only consider this role if you have the ambition and drive to progress through towards partnership in a relatively short space of time. My client prides itself on going further for it's clients than any other and you should too.
Whilst I recognise that it is likely difficult to walk away from a comfortable position in a likely buoyant department with your current employer please do contact me for additional details.
Perhaps this role is the one that could tempt you away?
