Due to organic growth, one of Scotland's leading Contentious Construction teams' are seeking a solicitor (2+ PQE) to join their team in Aberdeen.
This role will come under the wider Construction & Engineering team, and you will provide a full dispute resolution service to this firm's enviable client base across the construction industry, within Scotland, but also England, Wales & Northern Ireland on occasion.
Your clients will span both the private and public sectors, ranging from developers, contractors, insurers, funders and consultants.
Due to the complex nature and commercial focus of this work, the successful candidate will have to have at least 2 years' PQE in either contentious construction or another form of dispute resolution, and can demonstrate commercial awareness & business acumen.
Your role will consist of but not be limited to; Reviewing, analysing and providing opinions on all aspects of construction contracts, compiling evidence from client papers and witness statements, analysing client's positions after all of the evidence has been prepared, providing strategic cost-effective advice to bring a resolution.
You will also be involved in drafting pleadings and submissions, appearing in court, adjudication, mediate, determination and arbitration, as well as negotiating settlements and supporting and enhancing the team's marketing initiatives.
