Are you a newly qualified solicitor with a desire to progress your career as a banking solicitor?
If so, my leading international client has a required for a newly qualified solicitor in either the Edinburgh or Glasgow markets.
You will have enjoyed a banking seat during your traineeship and have had significant exposure to property finance, acquisition finance and corporate lending.
This is a firm that acts as adviser to a diverse range of lenders and borrowers throughout the entire spectrum of banking transactions. They act for all major UK banks, as well as a growing number of European bodies, on all types of banking matters including acquisition finance, real estate finance as well as debt capital markets.
The right candidate will be required to take on a truly unique caseload that just can't be found at other Scottish based firms.
Whilst this role is being advertised somewhat later than the usual NQ intake time, consideration will certainly be given to solicitors who have perhaps been offered a role in another department in their training firm but have concerns about whether they see this department as the right career path for them.
I appreciate that making the move from a firm that invested the time in training you is often a difficult decision to make, so there is of course no obligation to progress matters should the role not sound ideal for you.
