Associate Solicitor - Commercial Contracts (TMT)

You would be based in the Commercial Contracts team in state of the art offices in Glasgow city centre lead by highly regarded partner across Glasgow and London.  The Partners are widely acknowledged as some of the best in their field giving you the opportunity to gain invaluable insight learning from them.  The team has been a great success, and are now looking to expand, with a particular focus on commercial contracts expertise, but also with opportunities to develop TMT and data skills as part of the wider team. 

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 1 - 4  years PQE or be able to demonstrate competence in the following

• Experience in a wide range of commercial contract activity, including (for example) supply contracts, agency and distribution agreements, terms and conditions of purchase and sale, transitional services agreements, consultancy agreements, IP, IT and software licensing agreements
• Demonstrate skills drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial contracts
• Converser confidently with clients and counterparts at all levels
• Have strong attention to detail and well developed analytical and drafting skills
• Advise and negotiate in a considered and confident manner
• Although not essential, previous experience in TMT (and specifically IT) related work and qualification in English law would be advantageous
• Effectively handling a busy caseload whilst maintaining client relations
• Meet all deadlines and comply with all company procedures
• An adaptable individual who can learn fast and be proactive
• Have the ability to work automatously whilst being an effective part of a wider team
