Our Casualty Team is seeking Associate (2-6 years PQE) to join our busy Insurance Litigation (Defender) team.  This is a fixed term maternity cover position starting August 2019.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a drive to succeed and develop their career as a Solicitor and should ideally have experience of defender litigation.

You will work with all members of the team and will be exposed to a variety of work, but predominantly acting on behalf of a range of insurance companies and self-insured commercial organisations.  You should be confident in handling a full and varied caseload as well as appearing regularly in the Sheriff Court.  Court of Session experience will also be useful.   A strong communicator with a strong proven commitment to delivering client focused work of the highest quality. You will have an excellent work ethic, clear attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines

The position is based in our Edinburgh office. Applicants should also have a willingness to become involved in business development projects which may also involve visits to clients and offices throughout England.
