The Law Society of Scotland is the professional body for over 11,000 Scottish solicitors and was established in 1949. The Interventions Department acts to safeguard clients and the Profession in certain cases where solicitor firms cease to practise. We are now looking for a responsible and experienced SOLAS-qualified Accounts Administrator with experience in a solicitor’s cashroom and an understanding of the application of the Society’s Accounts Rules, to join our team.
In addition to being SOLAS-qualified, experience of Trust & Executry accounting would be advantageous. Candidates should be well organised and have good communication skills both on the telephone and in writing. Key attributes include a flexible approach to changing priorities; team player; and an ability to manage own workload.
