Are you a corporate solicitor, with at least two years post qualifying experience and a desire to work for one of Edinburgh's leading and successful corporate units?
You will come from a corporate background with a leading private practice firm and have had exposure to the full remit of corporate work during your time with your current firm.
The successful solicitor will carry a full caseload of corporate files with an emphasis on M&A, PE, joint ventures, commercial contracts and general corporate advice.
Dual qualified candidates, or those with experience of cross border transactions are of particular interest given the both national and international nature of the firm's client base.
You will join a team where your assistant role will be seen as key and not just as a competent water carrier. They have an excellent track record of bringing people through into the Partnership at an early stage in their career and can provide a fantastic platform for an ambitious corporate solicitor to make their case for this type of progression.
They truly do believe that if you are good enough, you are old enough.
This role should be seen as ideal for solicitors without a clear progression track within their current role, or perhaps those uncertain about whether their current firm can offer them the chance to shape their caseload over time to what interests them most.
With the market being strained due to a lack of corporate solicitors available at this level within the market this is a chance to seize the opportunity to get the career you want, rather than the choice you may have been forced to make in a quieter market in 2013.
