As part of the wider Real Estate Team this is a newly created position where you will oversee the more complex areas of transactions in relation to volume residential conveyancing with a primary focus on equity release transactions. I’ve used the term volume, but I assure you this is not a churn and burn role, far from it.
There is a highly experienced support function who are responsible for all the back-office functions, opening files, undertaking checks and other associated tasks.
You role will be more of a professional support role, you will rarely have your own cases, you are not fee targeted and you won’t time record. You will be there to assist, mentor and deliver training to the Paralegals/Legal Support team, ensuring processes are streamlined, advise on latest protocols and take ownership of more complex cases.
In addition, you will have the chance to work on ad-hoc projects which means this role will offer a real variety of interesting and challenging work.
You must be a Scottish qualified Solicitor who is technically proficient, with a minimum of 4 years’ post qualifying experience, equally as important is your ability to work well with people, to encourage and be supportive and to take the lead and initiative in rolling out training.
This is a great firm, typically the Solicitors who work with them have done so for a number of years which speaks volumes about their culture.
You can expect a competitive salary to £60k (DOE) plus generous benefits and you will have the opportunity to work remotely as well as in the office.
Excellent career and professional development opportunities exist.
