I am about to graduate / qualify - now what?

Throughout the route to qualification there are key points in which you will need to consider what to do next.

Perhaps you have just completed the LLB and are not sure whether to apply for PEAT 1. Or you may have finished PEAT 1 and are thinking about traineeship opportunities, and how to go about applying for them. Or, you may be in the final stages of the route to qualification you may have completed or about to have completed the traineeship and are looking for an NQ post, or considering other options.

Each of these stages is an ideal opportunity for you to reflect on what you really want to do with your future. It’s vital you take time to research and find out about what opportunities are available to you. Traineeship and NQ posts are particularly competitive at the moment and it’s important you have researched the market and the possibilities open to you.

There may be times when you are not studying or employed in your chosen field and you may be keen to keep busy in those times. Following advice about looking for jobs and networking will boost your chances of finding employment but it is also important to keep yourself busy during this time to further increase your chance of finding employment in your chosen area.
